Hi, I’m Monica, a makeup artist and hair stylist based in Rome, Italy, specializing in modern, romantic, natural, yet glamorous styles for elegant and stylish brides. My goal is to highlight the beauty that already exists within every woman, using makeup as my tool. I believe that every bride should feel like the most beautiful version of herself on the most important day of her life—in short, FABULOUS!
Throughout my journey, I have taken various courses, experimented with different styles, and ultimately found my identity in a more natural, soft, romantic, yet glamorous look. I describe myself as a perfectionist, which is why I use high-end, professional products to achieve the best results in my work.
My career began as an Event Manager in 2007. But ten years later, I decided to pursue my true passion and became a professional makeup artist, later adding hair styling to my expertise. Although I am fully trained, I am continually taking courses to stay updated and deliver my best work. Since January 2023, I have been a member of the Kristina Gasperas Academy online and a proud team member of the Linda Lynn bridal team since 2022.

This review is long overdue, but Monica left such a lasting impression that I wanted to take the time to write it properly.
Monica was a saving grace and one of the very best decisions I made for my destination wedding at Belmond Splendido in Portofino. As a bride planning from California, there were many extra layers of coordination involved, and after experiencing a last-minute cancellation with a previous makeup artist, Monica stepped in seamlessly and immediately put me at ease during what could have been an incredibly stressful moment. From the very beginning, she was calm, reassuring, responsive, and incredibly professional, exactly the kind of presence you hope for when planning from abroad.
Monica did both my hair and makeup for our welcome party and wedding day, as well as hair and makeup for the mother of the bride, and provided touch-ups for the groom. Every look was beautifully executed, polished, and thoughtfully tailored. Most importantly, I still looked completely like myself, just better. Elevated, confident, and natural. I truly have never received so many compliments.
I also had a very unique circumstance in that I wanted to use only non-toxic, clean beauty products. The clean beauty movement has really taken off in the United States, but it has not yet fully reached places like Italy. Monica was completely transparent in sharing that she had worked with some of these products before, but had never created full hair and makeup looks using exclusively clean products. That said, she embraced the challenge wholeheartedly. We talked through alternatives, reviewed ingredients together in detail, and genuinely collaborated to source and bring products overseas. We used brands like Saie, Westman Atelier, Ilia, Kosas, and Innersense for hair, and the results were nothing short of incredible. I love people who go above and beyond, and Monica absolutely did. She did not just execute, she nailed it out of the park.
The fact that Monica was able to create looks that were flawless, long-wearing, and completely picture-perfect using entirely new product combinations truly speaks to the depth of her skill and her abilities as both a makeup artist and hairstylist.
Beyond her undeniable talent, Monica’s calming energy is what I appreciated most. Throughout the celebrations, it felt less like getting ready and more like spending time with a distant friend who was quietly and effortlessly doing my hair and makeup. Her steady, peaceful presence made the entire experience feel relaxed, unrushed, and genuinely enjoyable, something that is invaluable on a wedding day.
What truly sets Monica apart is not only her artistry, but her heart. She is kind, grounding, deeply attentive, and genuinely invested in the people she works with. I am endlessly grateful that she stepped in when she did and was such a constant, reassuring presence throughout our wedding celebrations. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Any bride, especially one planning a destination wedding or with specific preferences, would be incredibly lucky to work with Monica.
I cannot believe it's been 7 months since our wedding day and I am only now getting time to reflect on that amazing time. I could not let this year end without acknowledging my amazing MUAH Monica. She made me feel like a princess on one of the most important days of my life, and listened and guided me to the beautiful end result. Monica is the loveliest person, full of knowledge and excellent taste in music! She made my wedding morning relaxed and full of fun. Along with Mary, who is also fantastic, Monica looked after me and my bridal party and we were over the moon with the results! Thank you Monica for being amazing and making me feel amazing too xxx
I am ashamed with how overdue is but better late than never… the photographer for our elopement referred me to Monica, and I could not have been happier with her recommendation! Monica is just as warm and friendly in her written communications as she is in person, and is a true perfectionist and master of her craft. Her meticulousness ensures every detail of your hair and makeup is executed to perfection, making you feel your absolute best for your special day. Monica is absolutely amazing!!!! She made me feel like the best possible version of myself and was so attentive to things I wanted differently from the original trial. She truly cares about making you look and feel your best and I couldn’t stop hugging her!
Her team also made my entire bridal party look absolutely stunning and each one of them were thrilled with how everything turned out.
While weddings days can for sure be stressful, Monica really made it peaceful (even when I was an hour late and accidentally cried so she had to fix my makeup!)
